the escos came with aircon bulkheads, well mine has and its one of the first ever built
the only thing different is the car looms, heater panel and plastic bulkhead pabel, the rest is obviosu for aircon, rad, pipes, condensor and heater box

IIRC, Mike's mate Ben fitted aircon to his 4x4 Sapphire. I spoke to him at Silverstone once about it. I also recall him saying it was a load of work and he wouldn't attempt it again
ive done it before, what do you want to know? b/head needs modding as there is only one drainage channel in a normal es cos and you need 2 for the aircon evaporator unit to fit as it sits in them, also the panels need cutting out at the back of the b/head for the recirc function to work, all wiring is already there in the loom

Cheers Nick. Its a while off yet, just looking into how much hassle it would be.
Planning in driving to Ibiza in 2013 to celebrate my 40th.
I want to arrive nice and cool, not sweating like Franco in a cake shop
do you really need the recirc though Nick, as I was going to change over the mk6 that I had without cutting that panel out, plus I hate that setting on my escos, I have it drawing the air from the outside
