My car has been in the garage since September 07, my garage is heated and theres very little humidity. The last time it got wet due to being out in the rain was on the way to National Day @ Rockingham 07.
Last week I decided to replace the door seals (the ones around the top of the door & down the A pillar) When I removed the seal you wouldn't believe the amount of water that was trapped inside the seal, I was shocked. Needless to say I took all the other seals off just to check & although the door seals were the worst there was water inside every seal. If it had been left who know what corrsoion could occur.

Like I said mate, I wring the wash mitt out & wipe each panel. Repaet until clean.
Once its clean I do the same again with luke warm water (no soap) to get any residue off.
By the time I've done the whole car the little amount of water on the panels has dried naturally.
Then either a quick once over with Megs Quick Detailer or if I'm feeling like it a coat of Clearkote Carnuba Wax

But that would be wrong too, rubber seals and gaskets would start leaking

I think i'd still get soap and water everywhere even doing it that way!I take it then that you've got 2 wash mits? As I only have one! lol

I am still undecided on snow foam, when I first saw it I thought it looked great, but the longer I leave it I am not sure if its just the gimmicky side of it I like
Also I have heard stories of issues with foam lances not fitting correctly etc, if you let your car get filthy dirty it's probably great because the less you touch your car at this stage the better as you aren't rubbing grit and sh*t into your paintwork, mine never gets that bad though, even my Audi gets a regular wash so I will leave it and see if I come round to the idea.....Mat

lol at the towel
I've been using snow foam for about a year now. It makes washing the car so much easier, gets rid of some dirt and softens the rest. I went through a phase where I thought its a gimmick, probably because I was using it on a cleanish car or being stingy on the amount I was using.
I really appreciate SF now, for the first time I gave the car a proper SF touchless wash only and I was really amazed how well it worked. The car was filthy & black and after shiny .
Like said, dilute a generous amount about an 1" in a 1l bottle and let the thing dwell with a bit of warm water .
Mat
you have to get the right lance that suits your p/washer
