  • small turbo boost??

today i plumbed in a proper boost gauge as since my cars been back on the road its not felt as quick so the story was that it was only boosting 10 psi but showing a bar on bannana pod so i gave the actuator a few turns but doesnt seem to want to boost anymore than 10 psi thought it was strange

Im sure some of the small turbo chips have a boost limit set in them , so even adjusting the actuator wont increase it as the ecu will just dump more pressure throught the lektron(sp) valve.

thats why its been shorted out - then a restrictor was put into one of the other pipes. its sort of coming back to me now lol

have you still got the standard dump valve fitted to the turbo? if so check the diaphragm for splits

thats a thought - i made a plate with a tyre valve in it to test for leaks, just take the rubber pipe off the air flow meter and put it in there then put on your tyre inflator and bobs your uncle!
