in the old days ford england designed cars as did ford deutchland and they ended up in the 60's going head to head with each other. then stuff started getting designed in germany and built here and vice versa.

you can buy loads of cars that are from companys in other countries made closer to the market they are intended,thats just the way it is nowadays

My Mum was from America, my Dad from Australia, I was made and born in Britain, so i'm British. So the car is German then

Wonder why years ago in the time of the escort Mk.2 cars, the standard models were made in Halewood,England and the Rs models where made in Saarloius or Genk iirc in Germany.

This is why the Rs models were maybe made in Germany...
