  • cd changer

ive had this kicking around for a while now and was going to fit it in mine but ive decided not to bother so im going to sell it,question is does the head unit just fit in place of the cd player or is a diff loom reqd? the changer plugs into the back of the head unit ok but it would need a longer lead if it was going to be mounted in the boot, also i presume it doesnt need a code or anything?

As you say Nick these is no code on these.

Also uses the existing 2040 cd loom iirc.

Tommi will know for certain as if had one off me last year.

Glovebox mount job, never seen one in an Escort though.

Could you not mount it under the passenger seat to save you getting a longer lead, that's where I had mine

The changer mounts on the boot floor, right-hand side.

          The lead will reach too.

Was never a factory option for the Cosworth though.

lol the very same reason I want one, just keeps it looking fairly standard with being a ford unit. Have you decided where you will put the changer if it works?

in the boot, its too big for anywhere else,if it was a 6 disc one then it may have squeezed under the seat or somewhere but at least it will be more acessible in the boot anyway
