The mk6 RS2000 doesn't have a fuel light, maybe the Cosworth is the same? On the RS2000 the light panel in the dash is there, but there is no bulb behind it for it to work

when the gauge is in the red you have around 1.5 gallons left, but the light wont come on till the needle barely registers on the gauge,i think there is still around a gallon left though

oh rite, i dont think ive ran it that low, but sometime when i go round a corner when theres not much fuel left the fuel gauge nearly hits the needle

The light will come on as said when there is around 8 litres in the tank, but it only stays on for around 15 seconds after start up, then it goes out. That's how mine is anyway, last year I managed to get £90 of fuel in it, that's how empty it was

When my needle is on the red marker I fill up but it's never taken more than £55 to brim it. I've not run it low enough for a light to come on if there is one.

I'm sat in the car in the garage, good old I phone fuel light came on when ignition is on for 10 secs or so but looking at the guage I'm sure I've had he needle to between the red line and the black line, should it come on then?

The only real way you are going to tell for sure is drive it and wait or drain the tank

as soon as my needle hits the red my light comes on and stays on. i've had to fiddle with my needle on the gauge to get it smack on the full line when i brimmed it before, so now it reads correct all the way through (previously it never read full when filled and the light was spurious)
