Problematic... 10mm less than the MO, .... is little space for the 378.
Hi,
Please see the attached drawing, this shows the AP Racing CP-5555 cal assy on a 378 dia disk inside the proposed FMG-1880 Foss wheel.
As you can see from the dwg itself the position of the caliper in relation to the rim tyre well is the main issue and not the space to the back of the spokes because it is a very tall brake assy.
If anybody can get me the ( A Dimension ) shown on the dwg (this can be measured from the front face of the caliper back to the front face of the bell housing where the wheel is mounted) I can then possition the caliper assy exactly where it needs to be and give a true offset fittment for this wheel.
Obviously where Dim A relates to an ET15 wheel and not ET35.....?
The bell on an Escort is a flat bell, not offset (which makes clearance worse than on a 2wd Cosworth).
Hi,
If you know that the bell on the escort is a flat bell I can work it back from that, all I need is either the dimension from the top of the bell (where the wheel sits) back to the disk surface or forward to the front face of the caliper.
On the drawing I posted the (A) Dim does not relate to any wheel offset as the brake assy is not positioned correctly (because I don'thave the A dim). I just placed the brake assy into the wheel to show how the (max) spoke difference of 10mm is not the main issue but the tyre well section of the rim form is.
Once I find out what the (A) Dim is I can advise as to what offset is viable with these brakes. Hope this helps.

Chris
That will require someone with a CP5555 / 378mm brake kit. Punton.bhp should be able to help?

Chris, you basically want the bell thinkness don't you? If no one can get this, I'm sure mike will be able to find out, if not I can get this tomorrow evening
