  • Tyre choices, opinions please.....

I'm about to buy 4 new 225-40-18's and want to know what you all think would be the best option price and spec wise. I can get locally:

Yokohama Parada spec 2 for £99 per corner fitted
    or
Pirelli P Zero Rosso for £110 per corner fitted

These are apparently in stock at my local dealer. Venturing slightly further afield, Ears motorsport in Macclesfield to be exact:

Dunlop Sport Maxx for £110 per corner fitted
    or
Uniroyal Rainsports for £110 per corner fitted

    Cheaper brands I've seen are:

Falkens (both types) at around £75 per corner fitted
    or
Kumho's at around £90 per corner fitted

All these prices are off bgay but seem about the cheapest. Any advice on the above? I'm swaying towards the Yoko's as the price is good but not sure if it's worth spending the extra £40 per set for something else??? Forget Conti's and Bridgestones etc, far too expensive.

Opinions please or ideas on others.

    Cheers, Jay.

For the money i've never heard a bad word about Falken FK452's............ the other one they do is more of a comfort tyre and less sport focused

Saying that, i few people who's opinion i trust have said recently that the FK452 has been trumped by these

Funny tread pattern i know but by all accounts they are better than the price suggests

I beg to differ. They are the worst tyre I've ever had in the wet. Dangerous is the word.

But good in the dry when they get a bit of temp in them.
