I'll be back to the Ring sometime in 2012, but not at that price

Plus I'd like to do more than a couple of days on track, it's a big journey to make so would like to clock up a fair few laps when I get there.

Will have to weigh up the costs, but lap prices have climbed a lot, so could easily spend a few hundred just on laps alone

Wonder if my Escos would be ok over there? Hmmm. Might just take the Evo again to be on the safe side

        hopefully ill be going

I thought the days are not released until early next year? unles thats why its expensive because they have pre booked them two days.

It's the trip that myself, Mike and Cossymad went on this year.
Tbh Si, it's a good price, it includes everything other than fuel.
Plus a trackday back in the UK on return.

It's open pitlane all day, I clocked up 19 laps while there, at the current prices that's over £400 just in lap time.
Add in the tunnel crossing @ £150
Decent hotel costs for 2 people @ £150
Trackday back in the UK @ £150

That's already £850 before you add in the meal at the Linder etc.

Plus paying it over a period of time, plus the Linder hotel is über lovely, makes it priced about right anyway.

All that's on track is the cars that booked the trip, no bikes, no other tourist, which makes it a clutter free and nice smooh flowing track from beginning to end.

Being how much I enjoyed it this year, I'll be booking up again

I stayed in that Lindner hotel when I was there in July. Have to agree with Kelv, it is a nice hotel. And if you look at the costs and whats included I dont think its too bad. You only have to pay petrol, lunch and drinks by the looks of it

Would love to bring the Escort there, but its 950 miles one way for me. I'm sure it will fall apart several times just on its way there

It does look tempting, and the hotel is deffo nice.

Plus it's good to have some kind of fixed cost known well in advance.

Just for me, the hotel we use costs £30 per night for two people, we cross on Norfolk Line that normally costs £25 if booked well in advance. Basically we can do similar if not to the same quality for a lot less. Plus spend 4 or 5 days there so things aren't so rushed, nor dependent on having a reliable car One mechanical could ruin the one day you get on track, too much of a risk for me in the cars I own

But on the other hand, tour guide / private track time and track day back home all add up well in favour.

If I had a good car, and enough cash I'd probably go for it, but I think I might just look at the normal TF dates and book our normal trip.

I can see what your saying Si, and even done the trip with you in the past aswell, and thoroughly enjoyed it then aswell.

I guess there is 2 ways for those that prefer a holiday in a different way.
The organizing and booking is all done for you with this option, but I can see the slight price increase isn't for everyone.

Very tempting but I would be taking the Exige if I go plus Nurburgring is an itch I need to scratch.

Ive done a few trackdays with CircuitDays and ive found them excellent

When you break it down like that don't seem to bad... How much are you roughly in fuel?

                              Kelv,
Steven and I will be going again and were thinking of going for both days, I don't think it will be too much extra (perhaps 50%?), so split between two is an absolute bargain. Obviously you have to trust the other person to drive your car....

I think Dave wanted to go as well, but wasn't sure if that was as a tagger-along or driver....
