  • Mongoose oe exhaust

I've been onto Mongoose's website to have a look at their oe replica performance exhaust and it looks.

Both Mongoose and sir/lord Harvey Gibbs say that it wont restrict the performance on my car.

The exhaust I have at the moment hangs a little low and scrapes my drive as I get in and out so I was wondering if any of you guys have this system fitted and if so, could you put sum pics up for me so I can see how snug a fit it is. I'm presuming it'll be ideal for me but don't want to bkow £720.00 to find it'll still scrape!

Any help would be teriffic! Thanks as always. Paul.

    Paul,

This is a new exhaust from mongoose which I believe has just been realesed. But it looks extremely like a magnex system with an extra box, best bet is to look for people with Magnex exhausts

Stupid question Paul but have you tried to fix the exhaust so it wont rub on the drive.

I posed the question to Mr Linfoot when I dropped the car off with him to do the under bonnet and he said it cant be moved. My drive is on a funny angle so I put boards down under the wheels and a piece of carpet to lessen the damage.

To be honest I'm just too much of an idle git to set four boards and a piece of carpet before I sert off and again when I come back!

Bend the brackets upwards and fit a skid plate to the centre box .

That's the one! The second pic.

Radman, been reading your resto thread. (Wow! Some hard work there!)
Exhaust looks perfect for my needs but Lord Ben Purnell mentions he couldn't be doing with swapping the cats over each year...for the benefit of the uneducated (ie me!), what does that mean?

I think so...I'm a bit unsure. Sure I remember seeing that in the description.

well f it has ten the 2nd exhaust may not fit.

i have a magnex on mine and had to get it modded so the beam will fit.

                      check it out.

Be careful, does your car have a6degree beam? If so, which I think it might the oe style may not fit! Due to the position of the boxes near the extended arm pick up points
