tbh I can understand it, with 43,000 members the higher the sig size the larger the load imposed on the server and the slower the forum runs, also all this has to be backed up and it must hugely increase the time taken to do that and the space needed along with avatars. profile pics members albums etc.

I don't think its something that we need to worry about for a long time though
