  • Front crankshaft seal leak

How easy is it to change this seal with the engine in the car? Front bumper is off already as its being painted so it's easy to whip the rad and cooler off, do I need any special tools like pulley drawers? Any advice welcome, cheers

Piece of piss mate. You will need a puller to remove the front pulley, but apart from that the rest is easy enough. And replacing the new seal is just as easy I did mine and it took about 1-1 1/2 or so and my bumper was still on!

    Scouse.
P.S. don't forget to time the engine up 1st before you remove the old timing belt.

      Mine wasn't that easy

Got the front pulley off with a puller but I couldnt get the bottom sprocket off at all I tried most things to remove it but you have to be careful not to damage the oil pump housing when levering it off. In the end I had to use the gas tourch from work on a very low setting and it came off.

And that's the 2nd time thats happend to me on two different cars.
