It should Work well gaz as on my old car on low comp it was very responsive, I m not sure if I would risk high boost without a decent head gasket and some long studs. I changed from 55's to 83 as I was told that I would max out 55 at about 24psi.

thanks Neil we have uprated headgasket on the car and recently mapped by harvey its on T34 running 26psi on the 55s, just looking to squeeze some extra power without rebuliding the engene.
I'm no tuner but after seeing a number of cars runnig close to 500bhp on standard headbolts so I'd say they're ok on this spec
I'm just giving my opinion as he asked what else he would need and for me I would want 6 long studs as I would have it mapped with a big boost curve lots of torque to make it super responsive...
That twined with hard track use for me it's a cheap fail safe.... That just me and I'm no engine builder...

It wasn't a dig at you at all Ben
Afaik MAD used standard headbolts on the infamous cossierich sierra with a 2,5(?)bar spike and over 2bar boost on standard headbolts.

I didn't take it as a dig at all we are here to discus and mull things over to achieve the best of our cars whatever the outcome obviously there will be differences of opinions or we would all have the same car
Been off the scene for a few years as you know, I know rich met him at the ring a few years back... What turbo was he running same as the one mentioned here? Any links to his full spec?
Ben wot box you going to be useinfg fella, and Neil/ Iain wot box is in that car? the car wich is getn this mod is on standard gearbox and diffs, it will need mapping with this in mind. sure the standard box will be ready to let go at around 400 with asociated torque? luckily il have a bara one on standby shud we need it.

Running a 3071.82 afaik the rest is just a standard engine with slightly lower comp and mad inlet cam afaik..

So it's a gt30 engine with cam so will have had a little Headwork more than likely it's got the pistons pocketed if it's a lower compression... Sounds like an amazing standard engine I was always told that lower compression engines can run more boost safely
In all fairness has this spec been pushed hard as in on track proper abuse, I don't doubt richies driving capabilitys for one second I just know you can't drive a car on the road how you do on the track?
Gaz I'm running fixit for now wouldn't drive an escos with stage3 plus power on standard transmition...

ai Ben thats kool bud, on my mates car the transmision guna be a grey area now and im sure the new set up will find the weak spot and break sumwere down the line cos as with all these cars we dont drive them like miss daisy haha and this car in question and mine included get sum proper abuse

No headwork what so ever. Only a bit lower comp. afaik they had a 2,7bar run on the dyno aswell.. So I see no problem with just 2 bar.
This car runs standard headbolts with 480ish bhp, 2bar boost and as you see, track only.
Not gone wrong once all season.. It's a capri with a cosworth engine. 205 block with block filler aswell
