Admiral won't agree a value on my car!!!!

Sorry guys, can't find Paul's user name to PM him. I just tried to agree a value on my car with Admiral and they wouldn't have it, they suggested that I find another Escos for sale within a 30 mile radius of me and send that into them . Like what is that going to prove that the bill of sale on mine doesn't, for them just to pay the 'book' price anyway??

Any suggestions anyone? They have a vlaue of £15,000 on my policy, but it isn't an agreed value, so no guarantee that this is what they would pay . Is this a big risk, or do you think that if I were to bombard them with for sale ads should the worst happen, they they wouldn't have a leg to stand on?

I would speak with Paul and see what he can do for you, I wouldn't risk going with Admiral if they won't give you an agreed valuation as if the worst does happen you would probably only get a very small payout

I had this issue when my old car got nicked.. - was insured for 15k (not on an agreeed value i should add), yet I got offered 11 - after a LOT of arguing, I eventually got 13k from them... till miss that car now! (this was with flux BTW...)
