Stone chipping sill?

Hey guys what's everyone's thoughts on stone chipping my sills then painting them? Just don't want to keep going back if they chip etc also does anyone have pics with them done this way?

Not the best of pic but i did mine half way up the sill's,

The side skirt would cover it up, so you might aswell stone chip underneath.

Cheers guys just wanted to see what the sill lips look like when covered im in 2 minds at the minute dont wanna stone chip them and they turn out horrible lol
