  • Hard drive issues

Just got back to work and spent a fortune on leave doing various jobs all associated with making the cossie feel more at home in the new gaff.

I spent a small fortune moving some water treatment cylinders from the garage in order to accommodate my pride and joy.

Then I spent an unseen amount of money on the drive and area surrounding the house in order to eliminate the pot holes that kept trying to rip my newly fitted splitter and hockey sticks off, not to mention the hassle of cleaning it in a bog. Now tho new gravel all round has done the trick.

Finally to get me thru the next stint at work I decided to take hundreds of pics of the cossie to stare over whilst away to find my hard drive has eaten them and won't in any way shape or form shit them out for me!

GUTTED! It will be 2 months before I can get a boffin to sort it!

    Gen dit! Not happy!

Not good had a few go on me before, sometimes they can be recovered. One thing to try would be to take it out of the machine and if you have one of these then try and power it up and see if you can recover any of the files off the disc

my mate has just had similar problem, 40GB of pictures and movies of the kids cars etc. He bought a 500GB usb drive to back them up and in the 2 years and never bothered He came to me on Monday saying my machine won't boot. Had a quick look with my kit and Windows won't even recognise the partition as valid. So I dug out Active Partition recovery, took two days to rebuild the drive and get his data back. I got everything back for him even his Favourites and stuff like that.

I've sent server disks away in the past due to tape failures etc and it can cost upto £1500 per drive
