Saw your car out few times but not whilst I was out.
Great day and the first time Ive ever been able to do 10 +laps
Without feeling drained or car getting to hot.
Standard cars are great but my god I could have fallen asleep on the straights

Almost checked into Facebook " on the back straight at Bedford bored"

Mike took me out for a few laps my god the brakes and grip are just awwsome
lol I know the feeling, we were managing to top out at 110 halfway down the back and that was it Still more than made up for it through the corners, it's a great handling car
Still looks like I've fixed my oil temp problem now so should be able to stay out longer next time, was seeing 130° on the temp gauge after every 4 laps

What was the problem? 130degrees is a tad too high after only 4 laps

I had my oil cooler disconnected due to pressure loss once the oil got up to temp, so yesterday I moved it back into the original postion and shortened a load of pipe work and the temps and pressure seem to be a lot more stable, although hard to replicate the heat generated out on the road, but it did get a good thrashing down the back roads, and the temp didn't seem to be climbing as it did when queuing in traffic, was reading 95° sitting in traffic and around 90° when moving. Where as we got to the circuit on Saturday morning and sitting in the queue waiting for the noise test the temp was creaping up to 120°.
Although is the sump the best place to take the oil temp?

I'm taking my reading from the sump, but I really don't know if it's the best place..

It will do for the time being I suppose, got home on Saturday I got the infra-red thermometer out and the head was 92°, oil filter 73°, oil cooler bypass pipe 72°, sump 69°. Then once the cooler was back on all the above temps were at least 5°
Just trying to work out if the gauge was lying or the oil was really that hot, but then going by the dipstick being hot to touch it probably is reading right

No, as you can see that went out the back like a Mini in one of the vids .

The one I'm talking about was the matt white one .
