  • Oil in turbo

Would running without a dump valve cause oil to be pushed back out of the compressor inlet?

I wouldnt have thought so, normally its either : oil level ovetfull pushing oil round the intercooler, or breather valve blocked in the block, what breather system you running?

no dave this is normally due to a blocked return pipe as pressurte builds up in the turbo and forces oil into the comp housing

Its a GGR breather system, breathing from both sides of block.

There's no play in the turbo at all!

I think Mark mean't the pipe that comes out the bottom of the Turbo back to the sump.

Would that mean a complete rebuild do you think Dave? Or is it something I could do?

if it is the seals then Dave, its better to give it to someone.

                      is the car smoking anytime?

                      Dave.

give it a good clean and then see how much is in there.

                        Dave.

Mine seems to blow oil into the airbox underneath the filter for some reason, my k&n panel is black instead of red!
