oil leak off Scotland?

seen it on the news reckon could take months to plug, its getting closer to home for my liking, what causes theses to leak or is that a silly question

Its not oil - its a gas, and condensate leak
All the infor you want should be on the Total website. (Head for headlines on Elgin - Franklin, as these are the platforms / fields affected)

I'm out in Alabama so I haven't heard much about it but I know a few of our lads had to be evacuated off. The wifi is so shit here I cant do much reading about it either, Now I don't have anything to do with the production side but I don't understand why they cant just close the Bop. I thought that was the whole point of them.
