  • fuel pump wiring

Had a good day yesterday with exception of the escos breaking down again!!!!!!!! I think it is the fuel pump giving up when hot .
Going to replace it but also want to replace the wiring , did see on here a while back someone selling braided fuel pump looms , but can't remember who or if still available .
Was good to meet some of you yesterday but felt i was working on the car all day
    cheers Brendan

NMS fitted a new wiring loom to my car when Karl owned it, just to make sure it got the right voltage, maybe worth giving them a call.

it stopped after a 2 hour journey to the pod , then started bout 4pm after i had called the AA lol
we put a 12v feed from the battery to the fuel pump feed wire at the fuel cut off switch in the near side kick panel and the pump did not run , also buzzed out the same wire to the connection behind the rear bumper and the wire is ok , am i right in thinking only the pump itself an the small part of wiring from the rear bumper to the pump is left to be at fault.
almost ready to torch it , at the mo .......

I was the one who told you about the rear bumper wiring, i'm pretty sure that goes to the fitting that plugs onto the pump.

Has got a pectel loom fitted , the only ford wiring left is to the fuel pump , checked out fuse box before santa pod and all tests good ( no water damage or corrosion to be seen) !!!

best bet is to run a live and earth to the plug behind bumper and see if it runs,i used to have an intermitent fault on one of mine and when the car had cooled down it started perfect again, that turned out to be the fusebox, the joints overheat and bubble on the back of the circuit board but you wont see it unless you split the board apart
