Im well chuffed to think that he thinks of me in that way (Does that sound gay)

I was the same!

Best thing to do is have some 'small cards' (as anything over half a sheet of A4 and the paper will shake showing your nerves!) with bullet points of things or people you need to thank, then ad lib the rest
PS first words out of your mouth should be My beautiful wife and I thank you for coming!

If they dont applaud after them first words, your fucked!

I found it one of the hardest things I ever had to do was my best mans speech at my mates wedding but once its over it's the best thing u have every done I was shitting myself lol

Been best man 3 timeslast time was best for my brother in-law as had a bit of practiceget all your lines of the Internet as those books you can buy are crapno need to go on and on just make it funny not to rude and don't rush ya speech.
