What are they like as a gear box likely to spend more time broken and what power/torque can they take?

More seriously, unlike a normal box that gives a bit of resistance to being put into the wrong gear these will just go into any gear at any speed........... after a lot of mileage i only managed to do this once, but once was enough

.......... that said, most of the time i would change gear with the clutch as normal tosave wear on the dogs and save the clutchless changing for special occasions

........... if all good, at sensible power and torque and with a bit of mechanical sympathy i would like to think you would get a reasonable life span from it

........... and then down the line when Pete finally sorts it out you'll have a box that can be returned to him to be upgraded to a synchro/Dog hybrid giving you the best of both worlds and suitable strength to go with it
