  • Saff to Escos gearbox query

    Hi guys whats involved in changing the tail section from a Saff Cosworth to Escos on a MT 75 gearbox ?

      Robbie,

      Just change the bolts on the 3 legged output shaft to suit the donut you will be using.

      The boxes are the same, no need to change anything.

          New to me lol.

          There's enough in the prop to compensate the difference, I have never had any problems.

            the difference is the middle output shaft

            the esocs is longer than the sierra hence the escos uses a thin doughnut and sierra uses a thicker one

            the 3 bolts into the 3 legged output are different escos use shorter sierra longer

            so to get a escos rear onto a sierrra you swap the complete transfer case over and vice versa

              Yeah mines got a Saph gearbox in, just stuck my doughnut on because it didn't come with one and it's spot on.

                I didn't need to swap transfer cases or anything, I didn't even realise they were different

                  some very very late safs used escos gearbox so you may have been ok

                    IMO you will get away with it as where the two props slide together, it will just slide in a bit more.
