What tire size on 18"?

I'm waiting on a set of "Cromodoras", from Compomotive and am wondering what tire set up i should go for?

I will be used mainly on the road, maybe track sometime but right now im looking for either 225/40 or 225/35?

Any tire pics would help me deside, comments would be appreciated.

Most are running 225/40 on 18" if they are 8" wide.

It'll give you a slightly bigger radius than standard.

my car runs genuine ford wolf cosworth 18" wheels which are the only proper 18" genuine ford wheel for a cosworth and its tuv'd to run 235-40-18 thats official and legal in germany and i think the rest of europe follow german tuv so i wouldn't go smaller as its not approved

I have 235/40x18 on my 8" comp

225/40 is the most common choice with 8x18's, you could step up slightly to a 235/40 if you have sufficient clearance from the front shocks.
If on decent coilovers you could fit 245/35's.

I've pictured two different brands of tyre on 8x18's............ the tyres are 245/35 as Kelv has said

I assume he's right in saying you need coilovers for this size which i do have on the car............ though as you can see the tyre isn't exactly bulging over the rim

On the car when i bought it........... but would imagine it's Creative Carbon if that's the stuff R&B supply
