Dump valve or no dump valve?

I have been having problems with my car only holding 14psi and I thought it was my wastegate not closing properly, but after looking at the car today I feel like a right fool, my cars dump valve diaphragm has a big burst in it, so I'm hoping when I take the car out again it will be going alot better,?

My question is should I get a new diaphragm or should I just run a blank? I know it's meant to be bad for your turbo not using a dump valve but how bad is it?

i found my car has alot less lag with out the dump valve on

Yeah it'll be fine at 24psi, just stick a bung in it's place.

What's the psi of a 100% original small turbo ? As it come from the factory no mods or anything
