Still a long way to go yet , booked in for the MOT on sat, then I can tax the bastard thing , then it will be sort lots of niggly problems out, which is going to take a while.

Replace a headlight that's full of water (morette )
Get the rad fans working automatically
      Battery clamp
      Rethread the lambda boss
stop the exhaust clanking like a cunt
      Fit the breather
Stop the rear left tyre scrubbing
Plus no doubt 5 or 6 other faults that will occur whilst doing the above list

Then off to MSD for mapping

I don't know, maybe ready end of September if it all goes ok?

But I am finally in a position to spend a bit of time & money on the car, so really trying to get it back up & running

Will be doing every meet I can , pistonheads, passionford , RSOC to actually get some use out of it

I'm just south of Birmingham, love to work on the car but I'm at work ... Tempting to go home but I'm on overtime so it's time & a half at the moment, need the ££ to feed the bottomless pit of Cosworth ownership

although it is stupid they still value rare older cars and classics like this.

its been common practice for decades that such cars are in the real world worth much more. Its about time the so called "industry standard" guides recognised the real values.

could you imagine if an insurer tried to give a concours low miles rs500 owner a peanuts pay out because in glass's its just a shonky old sierra?
