  • garage floor ideas?

im redoing the garage for the end of the month so the escort can come home, but im stuck with the garage floor

i was thinking of porcelin tiles, but then i doubt they will take constant work and weight with cars on them

it used to be concrete and paint but with painting the thinners lifted the paint up and damaged concrete, so i went carper tiles, all good kept warm etc, until you use wire wheel and stab yourself from the ones that get stuck, plus a nightmare to sweep up

so any suggestions not paint or carpet tiles, and im not keen on these interlocking padded tiles, becuase i dont trust the softeness when a car is on axle stands and will give movement, plus when you turn they pull up like my carpet tiles do

i need something thats string and can take thinners aswell as weight of car and trolley jacks

      Terracota floor tiles,

Had mine down in the garage for 15 years, never cracked or stained!

they are thick mind but they are awasome for washing down, they dry mega quick and look the biz!

for propa tiles u will prob have pay a bit but worth it in long run!

most are just painted, or those foam interlocking ones, thoguh ona daily bases the garage is going to get used, so i need something very hard wearing and isnt going to get damaged by welding or paint fumes, though im not going to do much of that, i dont really want to keep doing the garage every year lol

Durable paint then, or just thick sheet alloy

Ask for a sample and weld over it to see how long it lasts
