bonnet catch has broke on the x5,how do you get the bonnet up if the release inside the car don't work anymore

If you can hold ff till the morning a will find out am sure it's a nightmare

if its similar to a 3 series, you do your best jackie chan on one of the kidney grills, and gain access to the bonnet release cable

this is correct but sometimes you have to gently persuede a few bits out the way then fiddle with the catches till it pops can be a bugger but if your lucky pulling on the centre cable will release it !!

There are two catches one you can get through the nearside kidney grill the other one you can get by removing the drivers side arch liner.
