  • 7.5" rear diff

What's the most power people have reliably run through one? It will be on road tires and I won’t be launching it until I get a bigger diff in. Needs to be 3.6cwp so I have to stay with a cossie diff for now.

Also what diff does everyone recommend? I don’t like how the atb snatches from side to side in my focus rs. I presume it would be just as unpredictable in the rear? How strong are plated diffs?

How rare is a 3.6cwp for a 9" casing out of interest? I haven’t seen one for sale in a long time.

Are you going RWD? Then ask Jimbo and Gaz on here, as his car is near completion and runs a Supra conversion on his 600+bhp Escos

the 7.5 inch diff is fine its knowing when and when not to hammer it, mainly different road surfaces, also when it axle tramps come straight off the power never power through!

I need to stick to 4x4 fella, otherwise it would be a mustang diff

Father in law is running 630 through a gripper diff and it's still only a 7' diff it's not been launched but has been driven hard at times

Thats good to know I will run a 7.5 for now then and see how it lasts. Who's the best to speak to about a gripper then?

I'm sticking to 4x4 though to much power to go through the rear wheels alone and its the fact you can get one with a 3.9cwp for 1k and there pulletproof
