  • aa,rac or other?

who is the better breakdown company to use?or are there others that are trustworthy about?

im never keen on a subcontractor version as the blokes tend to disrespect the cars.

All breakdown associations use sub contractors for work so it's just luck of the drawer really how good of a driver you get

Be prepared to wait 1-2 hours for an eta not the 1/2 hour most promise

So my advise is go with any but make sure you get full cover as most charge you to get home after the first 10 mile

AA use sub contractors just the same as rac, greenflag mondial , national breakdown they still have there own trucks but it's just not cost effective spending 70k on a truck when your sub contractor does it for £36

Greenflag last year went from having 200 operators to having 15 making most of them super ops so they have had to invest a lot due to the increase in work

I've always used AA £80 for both of us with relay to any postcode. Used them a few times and been spot on everytime.

I'm with Dan here. I'm with AA for breakdown and for 2 of my 3 cars too. Never had any problems with them, although when I have called them out they're not what I'd call rapid, but once they got there they were very helpful. In fact they towed my home on one occasion.
                        Cheers
