  • Large volume of weed killer?

    Morning guys,
Finally trying to sort our garden out, the place has a large plot that is over run with weeds and as I have been lazy has got alot worse in the last 2 months.
I'm going to pay a local guy to strim it down as best he can then want to hit it with weed killer.
The normal roundup etc is no where near big enough, I need some powerfull stuff in decent size volume.
Not sure if any farmers on here etc that would be in the know with this sort of thing!
    Thanks,
    Dan

I use a 5L pressure sprayer and Weedol 2 for the garden, its powerful stuff, a box with 18 soluable sachets will do 540 Square Metre and costs about £15, the pressure sprayer cost £20 from B&Q

Its a big diffrent on roundup u buy in the shop, compare to what the farmers get with the same name.(its like that over in scandinavia, so guess its the same in uk) Try to get it throug some farmer if u know someone.(as i see u asking in a way) Its a big diffrent in how it works.

Agree on this, it`s like everything for proffesional use is stronger and better (like old stuff) then private for use

isnt it glysophate which is is suppose to be really good?

ive negaletced my gaeden tried weed killer digging etc, and left it for a couple of months due to shit weather, i had to pay the foster lad to do the weeding they came back the size of tree trunks

so im letting them grow a bit now and end of nexy month gona sort them so i can put the raised flower beds in ready for next year, ill also be putting amatting and new top soil over it so hopefully no weeds next year

I'm sure you're a right Dan, I've managed to keep on top of mine by
                            1. laying bin bags over the area, cheaper version to the weed suppresent material, only downside is, they rot after a couple of years
                            2. Being out there most weekends doing weeding

Why I bought my house off a landscape gardener is beyond me, as I detest gardening with a passion
