  • Different spec gt3076r's available

After buying second hand and having hassle I am looking at buying brand new for piece of mind etc

Now I have seen on various websites different specs of gt3076r,

Some like garrett do not offer a ported shroud for anti surge but surely it's worth having just incase? Some do 6 blade and some 7 blade etc

Anyway I spoke to cr turbo's today and asked about putting me together the best options

    GT3076r

    .70 compressor housing
    Anti surge ported shroud

    7 blade compressor wheel

    Uprated phosphor bronze bearings carriers

    .82 rear turbine housing

T3 flange (I am using standard 2wd manifold)

    3" v- band exhaust end

    £1194

Unfortunately they won't do a cash deal and that's the best price above for that exact spec

Is the above the best possible spec gt3076r do you think? And does anyone know of anyone who could beat that price?

Owen developments can't and don't offer ported shroud either

    Thanks
    Marc

For that money scrap it and get a borg Warner efr much better pick up, mine pick up better than a gt30 mark said and mine flows way more, get a smaller one than mine and it'll pick up even better and still give the 500hp

The 7064 comes in T3 wastegated format, I am not sure yet if it fits the 2wd exhaust manifold without touching the head until I get one in my hands,
The 7 blade is a T04s comp wheel so imo should not be called a 3076, Give AET turbo's a call and you will be able to get a GT3076 with ported shroud, If you only want 500hp then a GT3071 is a better turbo,
The BW turbo will be the best one and should be avl very soon but likely to be around £1500+vat but it will be work the extra based on what I have seen with the other BW EFR,
If you can afford the extra go twin scroll with a new manifold and it will be night a day diff than a T3 single scroll Garrett.

At the moment I really. Any stretch to a new manifold and an £1800 turbo but I'd definitely consider it in the future,

I would like to see the better side of 500bhp and as the car will be constant track use and almost no road use I thought the 3076r would be better???

Thanks for your input so far guys
