      my mates frs done exactly the same

      denso plug tip melted and ell into engine destroying valves and piston

      everything was checked and just came down to a faulty plug

      but yours sounds like its gone lean on all of them, so surely has to be down to bad mapping to cause that, if it was just one you could think injector fail

      doubt it would be bad fuel either

        It's amazing how many plugs get the blame for melting engines when it's not the case.

          Yes iv seen lots off posts over on RSOC about densos the tip breaking iv used them before with no issues, and I knot the problem iv got is not down to the plugs

            Sound likes it's too lean at the top end but im no expert.

            Time to knock on sitechs door me thinks... and see what they say.

                84miles and 40 off them were bringing it home, I have been using it to work this week since Monday but not had chance to go for a blast as my works only couple miles finished early on Friday weather was decent so jumped in the car and headed out to my dads garage which is about 12 miles off country roads and that's where it ended badly

                  you are all jumping on the thought that it's bad mapping, when it could be something unrelated like the fuel pump failing or lots of other things!

                    True there are a few things it could be but after 84 miles surely after that short distance though and if there was a underlying problem should that not have been picked up though

                      Exactly what I'm thinking, the reason I went to Sitech was to get a proper map and and so all the fueling etc was checked... I could have just bought a plug n play dream science

                          Shit news Iain, what ever the issue i hope it can be resolved with relitave ease, Dreamscience on my Nurburgring has been on for 2yrs now without issue and it goes rather well too.

                            depends what it is.

                            mapping and dyno runs can put componants under a lot of stress and its quite common for stuff that wasnt quite right to go wrong on the dyno or a short time after. Isnt necessarily easily detectable either.

                            Until you know whats wrong its very hard to lay blame IMO.
