hydraulic press

I've found my self needing a hydraulic press loads recently and seen a few on ebay.

The prices vary hugely! but it seems to be down to how many ton.

I want it for pressing bearings into hubs etc how many ton would I need to do this.

The cheapest ones are 6 ton then 12 ton etc etc

If a lower price one would do what I want then it'll be worth it but if i need a crazy one I'll just have to kept bunging the local engineering company

I have the same press as advertised on ebay although mine has a 20ton ram.
Had it for 2yrs now and never had a problem with it, think it cost £125.
Looks cheap compared to some of heavier built presses but its used daily and never let us down.

I have the smaller eBay 6 ton bench version that was about £60 I think and for the money it's good enough

For £200 I'd go for the sealey/machine Mart bench one if you want a good medium range one as that is sturdy as fook and does not use an upside down mounted bottle jack
