  • Really Bad Day!!

Nearly lost my job (which I've had for 15 years) today!!
Had an argument with a customer a week or so ago and they put in a complaint to their head office who contacted my head office, who then contacted my depot. Apparently they said I told the customer to "fook off", which I didn't as its a definite no no in my company!!
Lucky for me he didn't have a mate with him so they could have both lied and I'd be up shit creek now!!!
    Lying cretin!!
Got a written warning instead, even though I did fook all!
Gotta see him tomorrow and I'd love to slap him!

    Scouse.

Shit news mate but a written warning is better than losing your job, even though you didn't deserve it. just try and keep calm when you need to deal with the prick again.

Can you not try and appeal the written warning?

Shit news mate but I think personally of my boss gave me a written warning I would just pack up my tools and leave. Just for the fact that he trusts the customers word over yours ,

I thought somthing similar to this, after 15 yrs as well . There are ways to appeal, was the the correct proceedures followed in the the hearing for instance ? Its the trust thing that would do me TBH

Sorry to read this Gaz, my mate just had the same today (written warning) for not fitting a plastic cover properly on a lorry interior he had been working on. Total joke the management want to keep the customer so they have to show they are doing something about it by issuing warnings etc

as posted, proper procedure must be adhered to. union representative present, another witness present when interviewed, etc etc, dont think they can give written warning without proper cause...

not the route you want to take i know but if you let it go its just the first step to letting you go.... dont make it easy for them.
