    Anyone know 100% for sure what colour they from the factory, I have pics below of 'standard' cars and they are all different

    Does anyone have any better pics of standard 'as new' cars please?

    When I was at John's last year he had some nos drive shafts Mat, non of them were painted at all.

    They had a strange finish, a bit like tape wrapped around in a spiral fashion but obviousl not tape. Sorry that prob sounds confusing

                      I will deffo have to paint them, I actually have some mercury grey so will try that.
                      No wonder they go rusty if they weren't ever coated

                        suppose they could have been plated with something, [that corrodes very quickly] lol prob 1,000000000 of a micron thick
                        they look quite good when painted a decent colour
