I thought Skyfall was shit - too many holes in the plot. It should have either tried to have been gritty and real like the Bourne films OR more comedy moments like the Bond films of old.
Things that annoyed:
1. Landrover keeping up with Audi - they're slow as fuck .
2. Landrover managing to keep up with train, despite being stuck on top of bridge in traffic, but a few seconds letter was suddenly with the train.
3. Stupid agent waiting for the kill shot on top of the train. One shot anywhere, would have been enough for then Bond to do the rest OR she could have taken several shots. The first to disable, and then however many required after that to kill.
4. No explanation of how the baddie manages to extricate himself from the sealed GLASS cell and still manage to over-power the armed guard standing outside watching his every move, who would have been able to see what was happening and just shoot him the second he opened the door .
5. If you're used to firearms and you picked up a gun that had three red LEDs on the back of it, I think alarm bells would start ringing . I see no reason for it needing to advertise the fact that it won't fire for anyone but Bond. You knew the second that he got given the gun and told about this feature, that at sometime in the film, a baddie was going to end up with it and try and shoot Bond with his own gun. So saying this was sufficient IMO, rather than having three glaringly obvious LEDs needing to light up to remind everyone of this fact. Given that it wouldn't then work for him would have been sufficient to demonstrate the technology .
IMO, it was not even close to being the best Bond film - if you're going to "attempt" to make it more gritty and realistic, then you need to make it more believable, rather than making me think "you should have done this or that". At least with other Bond films, they are deliberately tongue in cheek and don't take themselves too seriously, which allows you to "suspend your disbelief" to a much greater level.
It's nowhere near as good as the Bourne Identity, so for me 5/10.

I would and did, I'm not one for shying away from things no mater the outcome......but it was an era filled with a lot of paranoia.
Would I want to leave in in the carpark overnight....that's another question. Pissed Ned's doing it over is more a worry these days.
I have and will continue to do when the need arises. I've taken mine on family holidays to haven parks etc.. stuffed full of clothes bedding etc........ local tesco's to do the shopping, but then I do make sure I park either far enough away from idiots or take up two spaces
I wouldnt leave a cossie anywhere in the west of scotland your off your head only if you knew what goes walkies about this place ! another thing i wouldnt leave it about is for the sake of some stupid bint opening a door against it , its your car frank and fair play for using it but i cant help think by leaving it outside and in car parks like that your luck will run out i hope it dosent dont get me wrong
Russell pmsl your ok cause nobody is brave enough to touch yours come to think of it am more scared of the rain getting to my cars than some wank with a shifter

unfortunately this is because compared to 20 years ago, the populous has turned into a bunch of thick cunts who have to be spoon fed everything because no one teaches them to use their brains anymore.
The kind of people these days would probably be confused without the LEDs and wonder why the gun didnt fire until a mate told them.
hence in films they explain things in too much detail or try and get away with stupid things like the guy getting out of his cell and hope no one will notice.
There arent many new films suited to people with a modicum of intelligence anymore.
The sad thing is, it used to be just the yank films that were like it so you could dismiss it as having been written for dumb yanks but it seems to be over here now as well.
