  • Classic car tax to rocket in march anyone know about it

Was told a rumor today that tax on classic cars 18 years and over will change 1st march minimum of 450 to a max of a grand done on emmisions.
Anyone know any truth in this!!!!!!!
Apparently was advertised in classic car mags this month!!!!!
What affect will this have on an escos????
    Any information greatly appreciated!
Surely they can't bring something like this in!
    Cheers Ian
    Sorry if this a repost

If they do do this , I'll be driving my car without any tax on it, I don't park it anywhere so I won't get clamped, so even if I get a fine a couple times a year from police for no tax it will still be cheaper than taxing it for the year,

I'm not sure about this. There's been a lot of scaremongering for PF etc. If it was to be based on emissions then theres going to bee a lot of bolt on cats and aftermarket ECU's being bought.
