little switch on the armrest nr hand brake what is it doing there?

allways wondered what this little switch its for, its on the front of my arm rest, dont know if its supposed to be there or what it does...... its not an ejector seat as ive tried it with the missis sitting in the car & she,s still here bless her....

Probably from an old alarm is it in one of the blanks either side of the handbrake?

Is it spring loaded? Could be the switch to put an alarm into valet mode. That's where my Clifford arm had it mounted.

Ive got a spring loaded dongle style port as well for the alarm module where you descride as well as the standard Ford on near the gear lever.
But a picture tells a thousand words

ill get a pic up tomorrow as its in the garage tucked up in bed!..its little rocker type switch thing..... its just one of them things i think ill have to find out what it is one day & then i forget!

Not like mine then, mine is the typical alarm push in plastic dongle key thing.
