  • General Question - Question for Black art design people ...

Fitting up my rears to the escort and they are really tight to fit up into the turrets.( where the bolt goes to hold them in place) I know sometimes the turrets can be pinched in a little , but mine seems fine. It's like the alloy eyelet parts at the top of the shock wants some shaving off it , anyone had this ?

Could anyone who has some spare rear shocks of any kind, measure how wide they are at the point they enter the inside of the rear turrets please?

Fixed it with brute force in the end , was being a big girl.
Better to be safe than sorry with expensive parts tho.........I've learned the hard way

hahaha. I was stripping a scorpio diff down to get the drive flanges the other day and could get the little circlips to hammer off. One of the other guys there comes over, gives it a hard whack with the hammer and off it pops

You have to remember much of these parts are meant to take a few hundred kilos of load so anything us humans can do with a hammer is inconsequential
