thinking of selling my bmw & van for a vw transporter?

thinking of ways to save money & im thinking rather than have a van & a car & pay 2 lots of tax & insurance, why dont i sell both & have a vw transporter with seats in the back.. i know its not as comfy as a car but i can use it for work & the family bus & i kinda like the idea of slinging bikes in the back in the summer & a tent & go somwhere for the night ..... or is this a stupid idea..... ps merry xmas..

I would say go for it loads of t4/t5 down here in devon that people own as there main car

Sounds like a good idea to me but as mentioned by mark, it all depends on how reliable they are to use as a work horse and family wagon.

My sister has a T4 and you'd be surprised how comfortable they are to use every day. Her's is a 03 plate and has been 100% reliable over the 4 years she's owned it. Their build quality is a lot better than your average van (Traffic, Transit etc). Why not take one for a test drive and see what you think?
