theres 2 rounds at oulton in 1990 and in one of them sat next to robb is what looks like nathan from brother beyond. Now anyone under the age of 35 won't have a fackin clue who he is but the harder i try
anyway i think that was round 1 when a poxy misfire chucked a spanner in the mountune works
Ha ha , you don't mis a think do you? The misfire was caused by a faulty plug , it was tracking down the side of porcelain .

Hi I think I do have some photos , in the loft , but not many of the btcc rs500 , next time I'm in the loft I will find them? I know I have some photos when we went to Macau and New Zealand races , and some early btcc.
Regards xpower
Thanks please do. Any RS500 touringcar pictures are welcome. And if you like please sign up to www.rs500owners.com and share all your great info with the enthousiasts who still own genuine RS500 racers
hi piero, hope you well and have had a good x mass, i have been very ill as past two weeks i took a bad flue and then took a kidney infertion there , but i am feeling lots better today.
i spoke with dominic like you said to ref a engine , he said the same as you, we will collect up the needed parts ect and will build from new , least i will no what i have then .
have you used any of them tuberge inlets ( my spelling might not be right ) its the type julian runs on his rally x engines . dominic built a wrc engine couple of year ago and it made great power and flb over a small turbo inlet . i was thinking on running one but they are 5 grand and dont no if its worth it.
dominic said a wrc exhaust manifold he can sort .
thanks steven
Hi Steven
I hope you get better soon . I know the inlet system you talk about saw it a few years back at the autosport racing car show , never run one so can't say how good it is,
Hope you make a speedy recovery.

off the top of me head................ irish man john moloneys
Nope a decent chap called Eddie Kinross , unfortunately he bought a complete focus from Czech and the motor blew up so built new motor on life f88 , he had loads of drive shaft g box problems as well as inter cooler issue s, so we could never run it in full anger. As far as I know it's no longer racing

john moloney had a mountune engine in his escort cozzeh pre focus days in the 90's afaik kinirons car was pavel koutneys focus before him and mike manning ended up with moloneys escort cozzeh
I know Karl, I just love collecting pics and info on the RS500 racers
me too only i prefer the rally x rs500's as they really used to mix it with the volvos and m3's and kadetts etc getting sideways all over the place.
if you have any pics of any group a wolf sierras or sierras wolf built for other teams stick them up in the gallery on here
what i liked about the btcc was the manufacturers and sponsors and pro drivers mixing it with well funded private individuals who often raced out the back of a transit.you dont get that real atmosphere nowadays and i couldn't build a bmw and drag it with my tranny to thruxton and mix it with the manufacturers............. ahh the good old days
