Anouther small question which way round was the build of an escoss were the bodys built by carmen and shipped to ford to be built or were the bits sent to them for building ?

been interested in them since the very very early days when it wasn't even made yet and learned a lot like keith duckworth who was the worth in cosworth son roger who worked at cosworth was a engineer on the escort cosworth road car engine............ and thats a fact my Norsk chum !!

was just wondering did ford ship the floor pans engines etc to Karmen and they assembled the car or did karmen make the shells and ship to ford for assembly

they were made over there,only shipped over here for us to buy iirc.

not northampton but i have been to ford motorsports boreham hq yes Geir

karmann did produce body shells and panels and had the facility to produce the lot,the shells were deffo produced in germany
