    IMO you have the best towing vehicle that you could want. I had a MK2 transit for 15 years. Took the 2.4 York out after putting up with it for years and put the more modern 2.5 in it ( back in 1994) and never looked back. I loved my old transit......but it had to go in the end. I'd have another MK 2 tomorrow if the reason arose to have another transit, trouble is there getting very old and need huge amounts of welding usually.

      Mines only done 13,000 miles from new no welding needed or ever done
      It was 4 speed petrol I converted it to 5 speed to transit di Turbo diesel and used a manual pump as It should run ecu etc binned all that rubbish and its a rare 4x4 but its on eBay as rarely gets used
      But it s a beautiful I imported etc from Germany myself direct from the German fire dept

                Do ford quote a max towing weight for the ESCOS and is it officially acknowledge by Ford that it can be fitted with a tow bar ( thinking about testing etc). If not insurance could be a problem

                    I think its a good idea myself!... You could also fit a wabasto sunroof & chrome bumpers to make it really stand out from the rest!...

                                the guy running the dorset rs owners club has a tow bar, could'nt belive it when i saw it
                                speak with shaun green,cant remember his user name but someone on here will know, he may be able to help as hes taken his place on the commitee.
