The 4wd drive head has a better cooling design , the oil feed for the turbo is straight from the side of the cylinder head and I think it has harder valve seats for unleaded fuel

all yb's have hardened valve seats and can all run on unleaded fuel

Yeah very impressed with the work he did on my head. Some say 4wd head is better but sure rod runs a 2wd head so that's good enough for me!!

Rods is a 4wd head and that's because we had it. Not noticed any diff to 600 hp but tech 4wd is better.

I've had a quote on head prices from MAD, SCS , Neil roper and Julian Godfrey and all vary in prices

I may have to give cossie dave a shout and quote me

My price would have been for my top spec head. With inlet and exhaust guides changed.

If you decide to go with Neil Roper send me a pm as he is a good friend of mine.
He would have quote for at least replacing the exhaust valve guides.
                      Inlet ports would be bored.
Cams, springs, verniers and assembly service also available.

My only feeling is all the tuners will do the same work but quote different prices

I'm going to go MAD for Borg warner and manifold for sure

Bottom end rebuild I'm thinking julain Godfrey

                          Head at moment Neil roper

                          Engine management unsure

Keep everything under the same roof mate. Much less hasle IF something were to go wrong. Plus that tuner can spec the whole package for you as they will know what works best. Ie what turbo, to go with what CR, to go with what spec head etc
