  • Centre console

Are there 2 types of centre console, I received one today which is slightly different to mine.

My current one has like an extra piece that comes down vertical from the hole around where the gear stick sits so you can staple the gear stick gator to it.

The one I received though has just a hole, hope this makes sense.

What I want to know is how do I fix a new gator to the new console I received as I've no idea how..

I have attached some pics below which may help,.

Centre console which is like mine, extra piece round the hole, mine obviously being RHD

This is he one I got, just a hole.

mine is like the bottom pic, except the one in the bottom pic has the rear bracket missing behind the electric window hole they snap off very easily

as for the difference you describe thats very strange mine is deffo a flat hole like the bottom one!

Is there not a piece of plastic glued in place. I'm sure the bit that seems to be missing is bonded in place on mine

Funny I never noticed it before but any I have seen for sale have all been like the bottom one, never even noticed mine different.

Any idea how the gear gator attaches to te bottom one, do I require another little part?

As Dave has said, lol underneath the console, the bottom one, you should see where the plastic bit that people staple the gaitor to has been.

right I get what is missing , it's been 5 years since I took my console out!, yes there is a thick black plastic piece that the staples go into
should be able to remove it off the old console and tigerseal it to the new one

nearly everyone you see for sale s/hand has the bracket snapped off you have no chance of getting hold of just that part on its own
