  • wierd electrical defect any one hade it.

    Switch the side light on and the heated windscreen at the same time the headlight washer sprays . Turn off the heated windscreen with the side lights the pump starts but this time no water. Flash from dip to main, headlight washer sprays.
    WTF is going on any one know
    I thought earths but some are not related to same earth points To add insult to injury water sprayed onto my Marete's when hot and now have a cracked lens

              Sorted.
              The main earth to the n/s inner wing near the battery was making an intermittent contact.
              Thank fook for that.

              Thanks for all the advice, at least it wasnt the fuse box.....not yet anyway

                    It sorted out a few other electrical niggles as well such as rev counter flickering 300/400 rpm when blower or lights go on.
                    while I was at it Ive fixed the rear wash , it wasnt plumbed in to the pump
                    Had a go at the outside temp sensor, there no longer available so had a good look at the plug. it was corroded so cut it off and hard wired the sensor into the loom. Seems to be ok for now.
