The new Focus RS will be around £34k and still only be front wheel drive. I'll keep my old cozzeh thanks.

Tell you what, Fords used to be a car for the average joe soap - relitavely cheap to buy, run and tinker with.

    Not anymore !

Slightly off topic but my mate went to get a tranny bonnet from ford and it was £300 and odd plus vodka. Not cheap to fix anymore either

When you weigh it up the escort cosworth was 3 times the price of the base model back in 96 and it was justified because the car was a hand built homologation rally special but to me the new stuff just doesn't justify the price as they are just a production line model with some bits bolted on. I know they are great cars and will drive fantastic and out perform a cozzeh and so they should 20 years on but there is just something missing like pedigree and 4 wheel drive. Saying all that i would have one for a daily if i could afford it but to me what it does is make the cozzeh more special everyday. Lets hope that one day the old rules of homologation return.

On a side note when are we classed as old skool because in the 90's people refered to 70's cars as that which were 20 years old and now ours are too.
