How to remove a jubilee clip where the screw is rusted away - Ideas?

Hi All

The screw part on the jubilee clips on the fuel filler hose are corroded that bad you cant get a grip on them to undo the clip. The rest of the clip looks in ok condition its just the screw part.

Any ideas how to get this off?

Big screwdriver wedged under clamp and twist, the jubilee is only wrapped around itself a wee bit. ,

Will that not damage the fuel filler neck hose?

It will if you use an angle grinder

A screwdriver should be fine if you can get it through far enough so when you rotate it, it's rotating on the shaft and not the flat driver bit.

Alternatively, do you have any tin snips?

I was thinking perhaps tins snips.

I just dont want to damage fuel pipe.

Patience then, screw driver underneath just to get a bit of clearance between the hose and clip. Then slide tin snips in and slowly snip away.

Use a junior hack saw to cut into the strap to weaken it, but don't break through it and into the pipe, then show it the screwdriver

grab the big bit with mole grips and twist it will break like an egg mate

As mark said twist with mole grips it will snap easy thats how i always do them
