As some of you know I had a ford mondeo up for sale, well today I sold the car and went to meet the new owner in town, on the way there I was driving down a busy road and a couple of lads on the pavement threw a hand full of stones at me as I was passing, no real damage was done but I was annoyed so went back to confront them, they all ran off, I gave chase and grabbed the lad, he wasn't very talkative and was not going to tell me where he lived, I decided to put him in the back of the car and take him to the police, I did so and left my name and address etc.

Now at home I feel I may have let myself into some possible issues if the young lad decides to tell lies.

Did I do the right thing?

na I know kids can be bastered but not make up lies like what i guess your thinking about.

your just proud of your car and pissed off that someone has thrown stones on purpose at your car..

something happened to me some 16 year old threw a miss stick on my xr2's roof as i drive by with misses driving. i was 20 at the time. got out chased him. but i didnt take him to police station >.<

If you wanted to involve the police I would have called them and held on to him, personally if he wouldn't tell me where he lived I would of shook it out of him or clipped him round the ear and told him to do one! Little shits!

I wouldn't be happy if any stranger put my kid in back of a car although I do understand why you did it!
I think you left yourself wide open to accusation or if police/parents had got you before you got to station kidnapp would definetly been a issue!
I don't think you will have any further problems but in future call police or get a witness and try hold kid if needed.

That's the prob these days you will end up in more bother than the ladif his parents decided to get funny then go for criminal damage to your car and demand compensation and I'm sure that will be the end of it. Next time as said hold them till police get there under citizens arrest or what ever

True pal got to be careful as well though,few years ago some kids did the same to my brothers car he got out and confronted them and some kid he didn't see behind him hit him on the back of his head with something,enough to ruin his afternoon waiting a few hours in a&e
