As some of you know I had a ford mondeo up for sale, well today I sold the car and went to meet the new owner in town, on the way there I was driving down a busy road and a couple of lads on the pavement threw a hand full of stones at me as I was passing, no real damage was done but I was annoyed so went back to confront them, they all ran off, I gave chase and grabbed the lad, he wasn't very talkative and was not going to tell me where he lived, I decided to put him in the back of the car and take him to the police, I did so and left my name and address etc.
Now at home I feel I may have let myself into some possible issues if the young lad decides to tell lies.
Did I do the right thing?
Carl

depends how his parents see it or take it any further

if his parents decided to get funny then go for criminal damage to your car and demand compensation and I'm sure that will be the end of it. Next time as said hold them till police get there under citizens arrest or what ever
